Elegant and lasting comfort at the “Barbara“

The original Alpengasthof, opened in 1964 by our grandparents in Obertauern and converted by our mother into a pension, now carries the modern signature of  Marie and Christian Sager, the third generation of owners.

Interior and furnishings exude a cosmopolitan feel with regional roots. A straightforward and timeless architechture, selected local wood combined with glass, stone and comtemporary building materials convey an atmosphere of both generosity and security. 

The panoramic pictures of the surrounding alpine region are a fundamental design element displaying a deep connection with our homeland.

The elegant room facilities are in keeping with the demands of our guests. The aroma of wood contributes significantly to a feeling of well-being.  On request we also provide non-allergenic bed linen. The use of eco-friendly raw materials and non-polluting energy supply from the Obertauern district heating system prove our commitment to the environment.
